Christine Gralow's SpyTalk Series on Tulsi Gabbard and the Cult: Behind the Story

In 2017, teacher and independent journalist Christine Gralow (realchrissyg on Twitter/X), created Meanwhile in Hawai'i as a community news nonprofit, with the intention of covering under-reported topics of importance to the Hawaiian community. Gralow was primarily working as an autism specialist in Hawai'i public schools at the time. She intended for Meanwhile in Hawai'i to be a side project. As it turned out, Gralow, who holds a master's degree in journalism from U.C. Berkeley and won a Bloomberg financial journalism award, became immersed in a harrowing political investigative story affecting her small beach community. Gralow became the first journalist to confirm that her then local U.S. representative, Tulsi Gabbard, grew up in and remains in an authoritarian, political, quasi-religious cult called Science of Identity.

As Gralow continued digging into what exactly Gabbard was up to politically and financially, she also became one of the first journalists to start ringing alarm bells about Gabbard's fascistic political tendencies and national ambitions. In 2018, while covering alarmingly unethical tactics Gabbard used during a Democratic primary congressional campaign, Gralow wrote, "If Gabbard wins and continues to pursue a national political career, as expected, what’s next for her P.R. team? Joining Trump’s national efforts to shut down the free press altogether?"

In 2019, Gralow exposed that Gabbard's presidential campaign had cultivated an actual "Tulsi Gabbard enemy list", which was used to aggressively cyber-harass and spread disinformation about anyone critical of Gabbard on Twitter.

Gabbard is now the U.S. Director of National Intelligence who spews Kremlin propaganda, attacks credible journalists, has an alarming lack of information analytic ability, and has called for Barack Obama to be charged with treason. Needless to say, there has recently been renewed interest in Gralow's journalism work, particularly among intelligence professionals. Soon after Trump nominated Gabbard for DNI in Nov. 2024, intelligence community readers began sharing and discussing Gralow's investigative work in comments on Jeff Stein's SpyTalk. This led to Gralow's popular Dec. 2024
two-part SpyTalk series, "My Battle with Tulsi Gabbard's Cult Followers in Hawaii," which is linked below, along with Gralow's original 2017 investigative series.

Christine,

Great reporting on DNI Gabbard and Science of Identity Foundation. You have been the best reporter on Gabbard and SIF for years. As a hindu, this cult is so offensive in how it is appropriating hinduism. See the abuses of the Hare Krishnas /ISKCON. Also, you’ve done an amazing job following the money and identifying the entities involved. I’ll keep reading .Thank you for your great investigative journalism. You were right and all the other media outlets were actively covering this up or they just missed it completely.
